As an avid film critic, I never considered the implications of filming myself. My impression of film was shaped by my judgment of the work of others, however good or bad. I am able to create and generate ideas, yet my ability to then devise methods of creating these outcomes vanishes when confronted with cinematographic outcomes. I’ve discovered that I’m a director, a writer and a critic, and realized that I’m not an editor, lighting artist nor cameraman. Solidarity, as I prefer on most other projects does not suit me well in film, I need to be part of a team, only there can I be most useful.
